The food tag

Stole this from Bev at ConfuzzledomShe stole this tag from Kerri because she was just too tiiiired to do another travel post..
1. What’s your favourite breakfast?
I LOVE having really crispy fried eggs with a soft, full yolk on top of an English muffin. However, I really have developed a penchant for avocados on toast with an egg also plus some streaky bacon.   A bowl of porridge wouldn't go amiss either.  A full English occasionally as a special treat, mmmm!

2. How do you drink your coffee?
I don't. It is utterly foul and bitter! A year of politely drinking sugary Coffee that hosts would bring me when visiting homes in Bali did not adjust my taste buds. TEA all the way!
3. What’s on your favourite sandwich?
Don’t you mean in? (nicked from Bev!) - Hmmmm.... I really like a fresh, white, crusty bakery roll with homous, grated carrot & avocado. Or Braesola, Tuna Mayonnaise with cucumber and sweet corn is a winner as is Bacon, Brie and Avocado. Or a simple Cheese and Tomato roll from the bakery.
4. Soup or Salad?
I love soup but honestly, we ate SOOOOOOOOOO many nice salads in Greece this week that they are a close contender! I would say both in different weathers.
5. What’s your favourite cookbook?
Anna Jones, Modern ways to eat or something of that ilk is fab!
6. No more sweets or no more hearty foods?
I think it has to be sweets. No contention- I love hearthy, SAVOURY foods!
7. What’s your favourite Cuisine?
Thai food or Indonesian or Chinese. Anywhere in South-East Asia!
8. What’s your favourite food movie?
Er- not that sure that I can think of any! Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory is the obvious thought- with that first room with the giant jelly babies and the chocolate river.
9. What’s your most guilty pleasure?
CRISPS! I know they are bad but I love them!
10. What’s your greatest inspiration source?
I really am not sure.  I tend to like the idea of a big bag of vegetables!
11. Cooking at home or going out for dinner?
I like a bit of both!  I like home because we are content to eat a meal that just consists of vegetables and lentils cooked in a tasty way. I tend to find most restaurants do not serve enough veg for my liking. At home, you can cook as much as you want. But, I do love the amount of veg in the Thai Veg curry at our favourite Thai restaurant!
12. High end or low profile?
I don’t understand the question like Bev… I feel a bit uncomfortable in swanky places- I am not really that type of person!
13. What’s your favourite restaurant?
Thai House in my local town.  And Yen Lin, the Chinese restaurant in my old home town who do the BEST Szechuan Aubergine dish. Plus, I love Wagamamas in terms of Chain restaurant.
14. I do my grocery shopping at:
Nowadays, Aldi, but I also shop in Lidl opposite school.

15. The tastiest food I’ve ever eaten was:
EVER?! That’s a lot of food for you to expect me to just pick one thing from… (I knicked Bev's answer)
I have to say that Cap Jai, a dish I discovered living in Bali was THE best food- I ate it pretty much every evening for a year living in Bali.
Also, I spent 2 weeks in Solo, Java and there was a Warung (cafe) that served fried Tempeh in Batter and it was THE MOST amazing taste ever. I will never forget the flavour of that stuff!
17. Coffee with George Clooney or Heston Blumenthal?
Heston would surely feed me!
18. What should not be missing in your kitchen?
Er...a fridge?
19. What is your favourite snack?
All the British crisps… Monster Munch, Wotsits. Also,I love Cheese on Crackers with Cucumber relish and a bowl of sweet corn and peas covered in Butter. Or peas in the pod.
20. What’s on your pizza?
I like the one with spinach and a fried egg,but I do love to have peppers, pepperoni, sweet corn, sliced olives, rocket.
21. What food do you really dislike?
MUSHROOMS are the most utterly egregious form of food I have had the misfortune to have been force-fed in my childhood.
22. What’s your favourite food blog?
I love Positive Fridays with Helen Fielding and I have read some of Anca's brilliant food posts but she also writes some great ones on her regular blog.
23. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I did try a snail in France- it was disgusting- rather like a mushroom but I am wracking my brains for something weird!
24. What’s on your food bucket list?
Er- I don't really have one!
25. I couldn’t live without:
Bread! I missed fresh bread after a year in Bali!
I tag everyone who feels like telling me about their eating habits.
