A Flautista dress

Hello there!

I'm doing my usual, "Ahrgh, I have a million holiday photos of interesting places to do posts on and a million books to reviews," so I am avoiding blogging!
So, here in a very boring post, I am sharing a happy charity shop buy from 2 weeks ago.

I had to go to a town with good charity shops for a rehearsal and so it would have been rude not to see what the local shops had to offer.
The next day I had a gig with my flute quartet who wear black dresses with red details/flowers on and I saw an Alice Temperley dress on a rack that fulfilled that category.
When I see the name, "Alice Temperley" on an item of clothing, for some reason I get excited. I'm not really bothered by designer clothes but I've seen some really pretty things by her in magazines and always thought how lovely they were with really, pretty, feminine details but they'd never be in my price range.

So it's lovely to have found TWO dresses by her in the past year.

This one was so pleasing with it big bell sleeves- I am a fan of big sleeves so I bought it and wore it the next day!

Of course, it was worn with our trademark red heels!

The gig itself was a success (it was a freebie) and out of it, we gained a paid gig playing for a private barbecue. I'm quite excited to see what the house is like that we will be playing at! Not sure I go to barbecues that have paid musicians at usually!

Hoping you are having a lovely day!

x
