Charity shop purchases

In October and November, I ended buying a few items in local charity shops and a few further afield. I quite like seeing people's charity shop purchases so I thought you might too:

In the first picture, we have the Uniqlo downfilled jacket which I mentioned yesterday. It is so soft and light, yet really warm so I am looking forward to wearing it under my coat in Northumberland and for my cycling in Jan and Feb. It cost £5.

The top on the right is vintage top which has great sailor vibes. It cost £4 - I bought it mainly because I was feeling sorry for the charity shop as I heard them saying they hadn't had many sales that day.  It's a little big but is rather cute. CBC asked me why I was dressed as a nurse for school that day I wore it.

The top down the bottom is a nice blue lacy top from Tu at Sainsbury's and cost £3.50- I really like staple tops like this that are longer in length but not to the hip - I am always glad to find a Tu top in the charity shop.  A few of my vest tops aren't so comfy any more so it was good to replace one.

The red pashmina is for my Flautista gigs are we sometimes wear red scarves and the one I have always looks very bedraggled and not the right shade of red. This was £1.50.

The Cat hoodie also came from the charity shop and was a birthday present for my niece K.  She really likes hoodies and is totally into cats so I knew she would love this.  It cost £5.  I delivered her presents to her on Friday and she was really happy with it and loved it being oversized. Notice the ears on the hood.

The cardigan on the left is for a present. It is brand new with tags from Marks and Spencer and I thought it was so attractive- I thought it would be a nice present for someone I know.

The top on the right is another Tu top and I really liked the shape and simplicity of it. It cost £5.
I also bought 5 forks for the staff room at school (£1) because there is a real fork deficit- knives coming out of our ears but forks- AWOL! I actually ended up buying another 16 (£1.60) at a local charity shop too (not pictured)

In the middle, we have a gorgeous red berry wreath for £1.50- this is currently up in the kitchen.
The Shape boss templates for alphabet go with my embossing board - at £1.50, I am really excited to try them out.

Here on the bottom left, we have 2 tins which I bought for taking to the Refill shops for rice- I have been wanting some light tins for when I go to the refill place as my ice-cream tubs ALWAYS somehow lose their lids and I am sick of finding lentils everywhere!  These were £1.50 for two. I packed them in my suitcase when we went to Northumberland and went to the Hexham-based Refill Station which is a new Zero-waste shop that was due to open in April, but of course, lockdown happened!  I really want it to work for them in Hexham so I went up there with a lot of prepared containers and a list of things I wanted to stock up on. I think I made the guy's day when I went in and spent £32 on shower gel, washing up liquid, dried mango, loose leaf tea, chocolate buttons and other thingss.  I filled one of hte tins with  Risotto rice in and the other has regular rice in.

The beautiful handmade bauble was £1.50 and is also a present.

Finally, one charity shop had a GORGEOUS assortment of Portuguese handmade clay items painted in the 90's these wonderful florals- I could have bought all of them but I bought this one because our wooden fruit bowl isn't great because the pressure of what is on top always rots whatever is underneath- I thought this was slightly better. It was £4.

And here were my purchases.
