At the weekend, after my concert in Bickley, it was lovely as my Dad drove to come and pick me up! It was so nice to say, "My Dad's coming to get me!" when people wondered if I was going to battle the 3 hour rail replacement journey back home. We chatted in the car and then sat companionably at the table sharing my leftover Greggs baguette. Then my Stepmum and sister came down and we all had a chat before all heading off to bed. I slept well! The next day, after breakfast, my sister and I went for a circular walk from the house. As we walked from a public footpath to the main road, near the end, I spotted a stump covered in Turkey Fantail fungus, looking in rather good condition.
Sometimes, it can achieve some real variety of colour and whilst there weren't any of the startling blues you can sometimes see, I love the gradations of colour here.
