Just as I had finished setting up my classroom for my lesson observation tomorrow morning, with plans printed and resources ready, my Canadian friend reminded me that as a culmination of Health week tomorrow, the children have been invited to 'dress down' in sports clothes and the such like. Which means hyper, excited, distracted children. In addition, football shirts (not usually allowed)mean arguments and rivalries over teams. Which means lesson observation= unpredictable, likely disaster. Why oh why didn't I think before that this was the case. I didn't want to rearrange it as I really want this specific lesson observed- as mentioned, I've not done a 'whole class participation, all learning something' lesson with an observer before and I really wanted feedback. Ah, so that'll be fun!
Pity I didn't get her to come to the Year 5 fanfares lessons this morning which went very well!
