Sometimes, it is hideously fun to act childlike. Bushes in funny shapes make me think of mazes and Alice in Wonderland! I bought a wonderful book a while back called the Amazing book of mazes that documents and photographs some of the best mazes around the world- I've only visited a few in my time, a Northumbrian Maize-maze , Hever castle, Leeds castle and that's pretty much it-but there's a wonderful excitement at the thought of going to one. I'd really like to go to Longleat which apparently has a Maze-helpline for anyone who's lost in the 1.6mile long maze.
Consequently, when I was wandering in the arboretum, it made me think of maze and the thought that a white-rabbit might perchance run past me clutching at a large pocket-watch bemoaning his tardiness. Alas for these photos, it didn't quite happen or that'd have been the blog coup of the century!
Harking back to camp, (sorry about my mixed up chronology recently, I'm posting on whim between my various adventures) I ended up wearing this rather bright ensemble one day which caused someone to mock-grab at their eyes and say, "I'm blinded!!". It IS a bit neon isn't it!?!?! Add my turquoise crocs which I was wearing before walking into the arboretum and taking the photos (isn't that TERRIBLE blog snobbery that I didn't want to wear my fake-crocs!?) and you have rather a neon combination.
I was also delighted, when putting this together, that this was about as close to the Two Birds inspiration Monday outfit as I was going to get this week as I am rushing between far-off places. Gwen Stefani is wearing a rather interesting stripy top which I am totally and utterly pretending I was really trying to imitate two weeks ago when wearing this- in a psychic/tenuoous-sort-of-I-knew-it-was-coming kind of way!

Here, I somehow seemed to be playing hide and seek with myself and yes, it was a maze-moment with the bush!

And when you are being a bit-childish and sneaky (i.e. other campers prowling around the outskirts of the arboretum- me trying to nonchalantly pretend there was no camera, I was not posing, nor being strange), there is always the need to jump.
And, since I like to segue into something totally unrelated, I've had a wonderful couple of days in Northumberland and I am very sorry to be back down-Saaaath! Thank you to WOMOTM for being a wonderful host- we really miss you.
