Le Dordogne jaunt- The house

 I should point out that the jar of macaroons was much appreciated!


 You can see the building behind it is the Piggery which is a beautiful apartment with a Mezzanine for a couple- it has a beautiful bathroom, kitchen and living room with a mezzanine for the bed.  MonkeyGirl and her husband stayed in there.

 There was a lovely outdoor area (with Weber barbecue) where we ate breakfast every day.  The building behind here had a gym in it and a laundry room.
 The main living room in our house housed an entrance to Narnia!
 The kitchen was a wonderful size with many cupboards and so much natural light. I'd love to have one like this.

 The part I was most excited about was the Swimming pool area.   This was above the house.
 It was great to cool off in the afternoons on a few days.

 This building was the second Gite and it had two bedrooms in it- a twin, a double, massive bathroom and a great open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room.



 There was a large area of grass with a trampoline which we had a few gos on only!

 After the 1st floor, there was a second staircase that left to the loft.

 This floor, I guess, is aimed specifically at children.

 I adored the swing chair here.
 They have their own bathroom (three bathrooms in one house- super!)
 The other bedroom was SO funky!!! There were two beds in here- so spacious for siblings, a Wi and a full bookcase of teenage and kids books which I was really excited about- I read 4 books from here that I wanted to read!

 The main bathroom on the first floor was spacious with a curious shower that had three modes- normal shower, monsoon shower and jets from the sides!




Were you wondering about the spiral staircase in the room? How fabulous that it led to our own en-suite! The shower was fab and you could see out the loft window to the pool
