Hope you are well and have had a nice day! I've felt a little frustrated with my progress today but I've had a few nice messages from parents on a little online assembly I did - I recorded an introduction with me speaking and then I shared the second Youtube video from this brilliant blog post by Ang on an inspirational woman called Lakshmi Menon who has been very creative with her skills during the pandemic. Several mums left me messages saying how much they liked it and how glad they were I'd shared the story which was sweet and it was viewed by 250 children last time I'd looked, so thanks Ang for providing so many wonderful, interesting posts!
I led two Zoom music lessons with year 5 this afternoon which was fun and a bit scary esp when the Headteacher popped into the first one- P, the class teacher was gleeful that the Head has come into two of his lessons online but it's been taught by someone else both times (the other by his PGCE student). He's a superb teacher and has nothing to worry about but I admit, when he told me the Head was asking to enter, my heart was in my mouth!
I told CBC we should go to the Vegetable wholesaler this afternoon at 4ish as we are running low on fresh veg but we missed the opening times by the time we'd stopped doing work so it was a bit of a random dinner tonight. I heated some rape seed oil then added Smoked Paprika and mixed it in then added blanched cauliflower, a shallot, a red pepper and kale plus garlic and fried it all up- all the odds and ends in the fridge. I then cooked 2 mushrom kievs from the freezer for CBC and did 2 fishfingers and 2 mini samosas for me- it's cleared a bit of space in the freezer in the graveyard of 6year old prawns and salmon. It actually tasted very nice. For dessert, we finished off a tub of vanilla ice-cream and I melted some snipped up after-eight mints and mixed in with a whole one on top. Random!
Anyway, here's an outfit I thought I'd share from Christmas eve or the 23rd, not sure which. I wore 3 of my Clara Oswald items and disguised them with other pieces with my favourite Christmas jumper and other bits and pieces.
