Hurrah for the monthly treasure hunt I get to take part in! Another great list from Greenthumb (Jill) of things to find, though those timed ones stump me everytime!
L is for ?
Lock of course! I couldn't resist it after my recent barge adventure!

I've had this really naughty trick up my sleeve for this challenge every time (apart from last month) as I just CAN'T seem to remember to snap a photo at the designated time. So here, we have a rather staged photo!

The obvious thing I thought to do here was to take a picture of a Left turn Street sign BUT like the above photo, never managed to so I decided to think laterally. A chance conversation in the toilets at the Swing dance festival yesterday gave me an idea. I was talking to a lady as she put in a pair of contact lenses after commenting on the time her glasses were knocked off mid-Lindy and crunched into smithereens. On her contact lenses boxes was writtenL R and on the other R L. She'd tried this new type of lenses from her optician and they had written which eye was which on the box but when the lady got home, she said they were dreadful, she couldn't see properly or get along with them. When she went back to her next check, it transpired that the optician had written the wrong side on each box (and crossed out and changed it then)- Ironic for an optician, right? Left?
Here we have CBC's Left lenses box, or so we hope....?

This incredible boat was built by the man who was wheeling it along my local park, 54 years ago. There's a model boating club who meet there and he built this impressive remote-controlled boat that long ago and still brings it to sail it on the lake! The craftsmanship and love involved is amazing!
Puzzle
![Puzzle]()
Just WHO are G.R. and L.K? Are they still together? How old are they now? How long ago was this etched into the bench? Why did they feel the need to put it onto the bench? It's all a puzzle to me!
Letter
![Letters 3]()
This is a little close up of some letters on our fridge. Originally the Scrabble tiles spelt some affectionate message or other but we frequently challenged ourselves to make new words out of them! And above, the magnet I bought CBC for our wedding.

![Letters 2]()
Words more than letters, but I love these plaques of dedication to people on benches.
Reflection
![Reflection]()
Being out on a river for 2 days surely would have offered me the best opportunity for photos, but I spied this perfect reflection in a pond in Petworth as we took an afternoon walk!
Fresh
![Fresh and perfect]()
Another tenuous one, but I was all hot and sweaty walking round the park but this ice-cream made me feel fresh again!
Tiny
![IMG_3355]()
Are these Elderflowers? They're tiny, whatever they are!
Hidden
![Hidden]()
What is hidden behind the ghostly, white curtain? Dark things do lurk...
Aha, it's only the wind-up toy collection and other miscellaneous items I don't know where to put!
As I write this, a wedding of the daughter of one of the teachers at school is happening and she has the BEST wedding favours ever!?!!?! Wind-up toys for each guest! I adore them in case you hadn't guessed.. (And yes, that IS a Dalek Pollypocket!)
Demolition
![Demolition]()
Maybe not strictly speaking Demolition but it involves a digger- so surely that signifies demolition!?
Antique
![Antiques]()
At my Grandad's house, we found many new books he had bought in recent times but found a few antique books from his and my Nan's childhood AND their parents' childhood.
Here's a little pile I took which my aunt hunted out for me.
Black Beauty is so beautiful and you can see below, it's a genuine antique, belonging to my Great, great Grandmother who was a great musician! The Boy's school book was a prize to my Grandad and some of the others belonged to my Nan.
