I haven't really shared any cards I've made recently. I didn't end up making ANY this holiday as toothache woes and being otherwise occupied, I failed to produce anything new.
However, I did make on back at the end of November for my niece which I forgot to share.
It IS rather simplistic, but I hope a simple idea anyone might contruct from things they have.
- The main feature are cup/fairy cake cases!
- Flatten a cupcake case and draw round it onto a scrap piece of card.
- Then cut out bits to make a flower template out of it-
- Then, layer this on top of 3 cupcases in bright colours/patterns, Trace the template onto all 3 cases and cut out all three.
- Taking another non-flattened case, draw round the base of it to make a circle shape and cut it slightly smaller inside the line.
- Use this with a complimentary coloured card to make a circle for the centre of the flower.
- Layered them on top of each other, slightly splayed and stuck down one at a time.
- Gently, curl up the petals of the case flowers.
- Stick a sentiment peel off sticker such as Happy Birthday to the centre of the flower.
- You can leave the background plain or like me, stick strips of coloured paper down the bottom. (I used scalloped scissors to cut the pieces.
- Add extra tiny detail stickers.
- Finito!
